The Warsaw School of Photography and Graphic Design was founded in 2000 by Marian Schmidt, a renaissance man born in Poland in 1945. Besides being a photographer and filmmaker, he obtained his Ph.D. in mathematics in the US in 1969. While living in France, he studied Phenomenology of Music with Sergiu Celibidache and played the traverse flute with l’Orchestre de flûtes du Val-de-Marne.
We offer a top European higher and professional education in photography and graphic design at a lower cost. Living in Warsaw is much more economical than in western European cities. Our B.A. programmes last only three years and our M.A. programme lasts two years.
We respect the individual path of students from those who want to make a successful career, ambition to become internationally known or be at the front of the avant-garde to those who seek poetic, everlasting, transcendental values in their work. You will find all possible directions, even contradictory, among our faculty.
Health insurance is mandatory for all students for the whole duration of their stay in Poland. International students are advised to purchase third party liability insurance and accident insurance in their home countries. EU/EFTA citizens should get a European Health Insurance Card valid during their stay in Poland.
Together with the ISIC Association and British Council IELTS, StudyPortals offers you the chance to receive up to £10000 to expand your horizon and study abroad. We want to ultimately encourage you to study abroad in order to experience and explore new countries, cultures and languages.
