University College Zealand covers the region of Zealand and offers two Bachelor's programmes in English. Furthermore, several international modules are offered each semester at different campuses.

University College Zealand’s goal is to develop outstanding educational programs while contributing to regional development in our areas of expertise. Our six centers bring together our professional bachelor programs, continuing education as well as research and innovation within our core professional area.

 From 1 August 2017, the university will change its name to University College Absalon. The new name, together with a new visual identity, shall contribute to a clearer profile and greater recognition. 


Research at University College Zealand addresses the challenges and opportunities that are shaping the future of our professions and their professional work. We work with applied science enabling strong connections between research, development and innovation. Our research is carried out in co-production with the public and private sectors at a regional, national and international level.

Student services

University College Zealand has 8,500 full-time and 200 part-time students as well as 650 employees located at six campuses across the region. University College Zealand offers in-service training and further education with several thousand students as well as international diplomas and degrees. The Regional Centre for Educational Services Zealand is part of the organisation.

Housing services

Danish universities do not have a tradition for on-campus housing. Most students live in student halls of residences situated some distance from campus. An efficient public transport system also makes it easy to travel between your residence, campus and the city centre

Library services

There are libraries at all University College Zealand campuses. Our libraries contain specialist literature on subjects such as social science, health and nutrition, gastronomy, ergonomics, nursing, sciences, medicine and education.

ICT services

Internet access in every area at the institution including the student residence. Lock-in information is given upon arrival.

Campus life

University College Zealand’s newest Campus Roskilde provides some of the most innovative educational facilities in Denmark. Our other campuses, Kalundborg, Sorø, Slagelse, Næstved, Vordingborg and Nykøbing F., are a mixture of new buildings with state-of-art educational equipment and historic buildings with charm and atmosphere from generations of scholars. All campuses combine opportunities for interdisciplinary studies, e-learning, group work and lectures by national and international scholars.
