About

History

Arlington College was established at the urging of Edward Emmett Rankin, an Arlington civic leader, to improve the availability of quality education in the recently founded rural town. Lee M. Hammond and William M. Trimble were the founding co-principals of the institution

Education

We have expert faculty and dedicated resources backing more than 180 rigorous degree programs in 10 different schools and colleges.

Research

We have research centers in every discipline. Our efforts have earned us the classification as a Research University/High Research Activity according to the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. Student services

UT Arlington Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is committed to helping students meet their full personal, academic, and career potential. Services are available to help students increase their understanding of personal issues address mental and behavioral health problems and make positive changes in their lives.

Housing services

Living on campus is a great way for you to get connected, meet friends, and be involved. To that end, University Housing offers a wide array of housing options designed to meet your needs and provides an environment that supports academic growth and community respect by offering opportunities for leadership, involvement, and connections for residents that live it up on campus.

We offer two styles of community living: residence halls and apartment communities.

Library services

It is the mission of the UT Arlington Library to promote learning, teaching, and research to enrich the intellectual, creative and professional growth of students and faculty.

The Library will advance this mission by working with the UT Arlington community to ensure students develop critical thinking skills.

Medical services

Health insurance is not a requirement to be seen at Health Services. All enrolled UT Arlington students that pay the Medical Services Fee are able to utilize Health Services.Services covered by the Medical Services Fee at Health Services:

  • Blood pressure checks
  • Nursing care

Our campus spans 420 acres and includes more than 100 buildings, some dating from 1919. In recent years, campus construction projects totaling almost $300 million have buoyed development in downtown Arlington.
